Community Services

How We Help

These services are designed for adult persons receiving individualized services living on their own or at home with their families. The goal is to provide some of the necessary services and supports to enable a person to live as independently as possible. Community services are not available 24 hour-a-day but are intended to supplement other supports and services received.
JOYFULCare offers the following Community Services options:

DAY PROGRAM

JOYFULCare supports individuals to access their community in groups or individually. Persons receiving services have the opportunity to learn, to grow, to socialize, and to enjoy various aspects of life – just as any other person does.

PERSONAL CARE

Unskilled services which enable and supports individuals to accomplish tasks such as activities of daily living, money management, mobility transfers, grocery shopping, grooming, eating, medical appointments, medication boxes reminders – or other tasks that the individual would be able to do for himself or herself if no disability was present.

RESPITE

JOYFULCare provides individualized hourly and daily respite services. Respite service is ideal for when the family or primary Caregiver goes on vacation, when the primary Caregiver needs to take an extended trip or to try out our services before committing to a long-term residential stay.

NON-MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION

Services to access community services, activities and resources.

OTHER SERVICES

JoyfulCare provides other services to persons receiving services such as Mentorship, Job Coaching, Homemaker/Enhanced Homemaker, Job Development Skills and Supported Employment

We provide a culture that empowers the people we work with – both persons receiving services and Service Providers – to fulfill their potential.
